Picks and Pans Main: Screen
No, you weren't imagining things. That is Raul Julia in Havana, and it is F. Murray Abraham in The Bonfire of the Vanities, though you'd never know it from the films' credits, in which neither is listed. This is the result of a kind of if-I-can't-be-captain-I-won't-play behavior, since both actors (or their agents) deemed their billing inadequate. (They wanted to be listed before the title, or before Alan Arkin, or in prettier script than Morgan Freeman's name is written in, or something.) This behavior deprives moviegoers of the pleasure of linking characters and actors as the credits roll. It should, however, reassure the people who run Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year If they lose any of their display balloons, they'll know where they can find a couple of inflated egos to fill in.
