Rod Steiger stars in a dramatization of the long, bloody 1983 battle to capture Gordon Kahl, a Midwestern white supremacist and tax refusenik who was wanted for the murder of a federal marshall. Michael (Family Ties) Gross, appearing in his second Line of Duty true story, this time gets to be on the right side of the law as a ramrod FBI agent.

Chris Rich, Brad Sullivan and Gary Basaraba costar in this brisk but grim film. It may attract gaper traffic, but otherwise it's a dull trip.
