Bravos to whoever it was who realized that, home VCRs or no, some movies are more to be savored in big-screen splendor. So we have had recent re-releases of Gone with the Wind, Tom Jones, Lawrence of Arabia and now Spartacus and Citizen Kane. Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments can't be far behind, but what other films might profitably be revived for modern audiences? Here's a vote for King Solomon's Mines, The Searchers, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Ryan's Daughter, Fellini's Roma, Cabaret and Barry Lyndon. And what the heckā€”it has been almost 15 years since Star Wars.
