Bravos to whoever it was who realized that, home VCRs or no, some movies are more to be savored in big-screen splendor. So we have had recent re-releases of Gone with the Wind, Tom Jones, Lawrence of Arabia and now Spartacus and Citizen Kane. Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments can't be far behind, but what other films might profitably be revived for modern audiences? Here's a vote for King Solomon's Mines, The Searchers, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Ryan's Daughter, Fellini's Roma, Cabaret and Barry Lyndon. And what the heck—it has been almost 15 years since Star Wars.
