C+

Looking like a scruffy Virginia Madsen and acting and sounding like a frantic Bette Midler, Reno is a comedian who rattles on breathlessly, in her first TV special, about the injustices and ironies between the sexes and of life in New York City.

Reno is sometimes amusing, often piquant but too manic, too crude (she simulates an orgasm with enough ferocity to make Harry leave Sally) and too New York to play well in Paducah.
