The skies are definitely too crowded these days. Decades after it mattered, the Airplane re-formed for an album that was comical in its ambition and pathetic in its execution. The pop clichés of the spin-off Star-ship weren't quite as atrocious as the music of their band-once-removed (what is their formal relationship anyway?), but that's only because they went out and bought most of their songs.
