Picks and Pans Review: Ducktales

UPDATED 01/08/1990 at 01:00 AM EST Originally published 01/08/1990 at 01:00 AM EST

As Nintendo games go, this Disney TV show spin-off is fairly nonviolent, since Uncle Scrooge only jumps on his foes or golfs them with his cane. He must negotiate five boards—including a trek to the moon to fetch the Green Cheese of Longevity—before he can be proclaimed the world's richest duck. Donald is absent, but grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie show up with newly hatched hero Launchpad McQuack and nemesis Magica de Spell. (Capcom, $56.00)—R.N. ("It's frustrating to play but not impossible. The graphics are good, and once you touch the treasure, just sit back and watch the victory scene." —Thad Novak, 10)
