In this revolting reunion, inept jewel thieves Ted Shackelford, Shanna Reed, Joe Regalbuto and Rowdy Roddy Piper decide to smuggle their loot down to the Caribbean on board the Sky Princess. Tom Bosley is a disgraced cop chasing after them. There are silly subplots involving Julia Duffy and Steve Bond.
Series regulars Gavin MacLeod, Bernie Kopell, Ted Lange (promoted from bartender to chief purser) and Jill Whelan return to prowl the decks. At one point in this cruise to nowhere, Regalbuto, dressed in drag and about to mount a water-ski craft, asks, "Why am I doing this?" That's a question that must have been on everyone's lips during this shoot.
