Picks and Pans Review: Leifer Twofer

>Comic Carol Leifer has got cable cornered with steady gigs on two channels. First, she hosts Caroline's Comedy Hour on Sundays (11 P.M. ET) on Arts & Entertainment. She cracks a few jokes-in-progress, introduces the stand-up talent and takes us to commercials. Strictly punch-the-clock stuff. Then she has VH-l's Leifer Madness, which has just been scaled back to a half hour (airs weekdays at noon ET with three repeats in rotation later in the day). Lolling around in her "love pad," Carol writes in her diary, ribs the odd celebrity visitor and introduces videos. Two shows, eh? That ties her with Bob Saget and Chuck Woolery. Of course, TV's biggest double-dipper, Oprah, is about to check in with Brewster Place.
