Jennifer O'Neill is a fastidious librarian by day and a bewigged black widow by night, finding her murder victims in a newspaper personals column. Hot on her trail is Stephanie Zimbalist, a lawyer who lost her husband to this madwoman. O'Neill drifts disconcertingly in and out of psychosis but sets off a few sparks with moments of Norman Bates-like hysteria in an otherwise dreary thriller.
