When this grainy hypercandid camera series first aired, at least half the clips featured Asians. Gee, do you think it could have borrowed a lot of footage from a successful Japanese TV concept? You bet. Well, now the floodgates are open, and Americans are eagerly vying to see themselves embarrassed on national TV. The only thing more uneven than the quality of the videos is host Bob Saget's comic commentary. The show benefits, as does Saturday Night Live, from selective humor amnesia: One funny bit makes you forget all the sludge you just sat through.
