Part psychodrama, part fable, this portrait of the early years of British author Fleming is most interesting for a notable casting quirk. The man who created the dashing James Bond is played by Jason Connery, the son of the man who played 007 so memorably in seven films. Amid Fleming's Secret Service derring-do and effortless conquests of beautiful women, we meet the people on whom he purportedly based Q, M, Miss Moneypenny, Blofeld and other characters in his popular spy novels. David Warner, Kristin Scott Thomas and Joss Ackland co-star in this silly tall tale that just may tickle Bond buffs.
