Picks and Pans Main: Screen

Cross-pollination between television and movies is always a fascinating part of show business. James Garner and Clint Eastwood made it from TV to films, but Hugh O'Brian and Clint Walker didn't. Goldie Hawn and Sally Field have made it, but Sally Struthers and Mary Tyler Moore haven't. Eddie Murphy and Rick Moranis have made it, but Garrett Morris and Andrea Martin haven't. Then there's the question of why Jamie Lee Curtis would go the other way, from movies to TV. If any of us could figure out this puzzle, we'd be managers and living off the fat of the land.
