Dudley Moore hosts this documentary look at a world we never really see—the microscopic events that take place far beyond the capability of the human eye to discern them. Moore calls the footage "some of the most wondrous sights ever captured on film," and that's not mere hyperbole.

Many of these moments are strangely riveting. For example, you'll see two fleas fornicate (is it getting warm in here, or is it me?), a forming chicken embryo, a wood wasp laying eggs, and lots of creepy-crawly critters doing things that are, well, downright creepy.

And here's a warning for the squeamish: Don't eat before you watch this show. Because your stomach may do somersaults. Especially watching a shrew give birth.
