The let's-get-small routine isn't all that original—remember Dr. Cyclops, Land of the Giants and incredible shrinking people of various genders? But Rick Mo ran is, as a very suburban equivalent of a mad scientist, is, as usual, a delight. And as the four young shrinkees, Thomas Brown, Jared Rushton, Amy O'Neill and Robert Oliveri are most appealing without succumbing to cuteness as they face the usual array of giant-seeming insects and household pets. As the worried mom, Marcia Strassman is slightly less appealing, as is the late Max Headroom, Matt Frewer, playing Moranis's hypermacho neighbor. (Walt Disney Home Videos)
