Michelle Pfeiffer fills a slinky red dress with the best of them, and she's a fine torch singer. But this film, in which she is a vocalist for a moldy two-piano brother act, is just a curiosity. Jeff and Beau Bridges struggle through the dull sibling rivalry. There's a silly love scene—is there a reason other than getting your puns off to have sex in the middle of a hotel ballroom?—and Pfeiffer can only climb onto and off that piano so many times. (IVE)

II TOO: BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II A way station between the original and the forthcoming BTTF PIII, this vehicle for Michael J. Fox and various product pluggers plods. (MCA)
