There's another controversy in progress over movie ratings—whether, among other things, to institute an A rating for films with adult themes (as opposed to pornographic ones, which are X-rated). It's problematic whether such ratings would accomplish much—other than enticing moviemakers into plotting to get those A's so they could lure people into theaters. While we're at it, though, we might also consider some other new ratings: C (for "commercial plug-filled"), H (for "hyped way out of proportion"), O (for "offal"), P (for "pretentious"), V (for "violent"), W (for "Watch out! It stars Sylvester Stallone!"), ACS (for "another chase-and-shoot movie") and BS (for, of course, "boring sequel").
