Christopher Plummer makes his TV series debut in a silly but semicool concept. He's a billionaire who assembles a team of high-tech hotshots (Simon MacCorkindale, Stephen Shellen and Cyrielle Claire) to battle international terrorists.
Beware of the labored dialogue in this Mission: Improbable. Tooling around in Plummer's private jet, the three operatives exchange such let's-summarize-things-quickly lines as: "What's his MO?" "He was an adviser to third world Marxist movements." I have to admit to a fondness for gimmicky adventure series like this, going back to Burke's Law and The Avengers right up through The Equalizer. But even I have to admit this one isn't so hot.
