The man with the black clothes and the hair fetish (no, not Johnny Cash) brings his comedy of neuroses back for an outstanding second outing on HBO.
Often referring to notes, Lewis ranges over his customary terrain: physical and emotional maladies, family and relationships ("I asked her if she wanted to try for simultaneous orgasms. She said, 'Two wrongs don't make a right' ").
Between Lewis's sewer-of-consciousness riffs and a string of unexpected cameos, this is the year's most scattershot and festive comedy special.
