In real life Jimmy Capone (Adrian Pasdar) was an outcast, the white sheep of a notorious family. He left Brooklyn under a cloud of pacifism, settled in Nebraska under an assumed name and became a prohibitionist marshal, a job that brought him into deadly conflict with his older brother Al (Eric Roberts) in Chicago.
Story, 10; execution, 3. This hokey, violent historical melodrama, which also stars Ally Sheedy, Titus Welliver and Jimmie F. Skaggs, goes on and on. Even if you've misplaced your zapper, be sure to get up and tune out before the abysmal final scene, a ludicrous reunion between Jimmy and a crazed, syphilitic Al.
