An overprotective mother (Jane Seymour) is beset with worries about her son (Brian Bonsall). She's not paranoid. Menace pops out of every frame in this grim fairy tale, brother. Everybody's scary, from the neighbor to the faculty department head where Seymour teaches art to (gulp) a psychotic prison escapee (Gregory Harrison) who is fixated on her. Even through the TV movie's draggy denouement, Seymour makes a terrific lady in peril.
