Picks and Pans Review: Buttons & Rusty and a Special Christmas

UPDATED 12/19/1988 at 01:00 AM EST Originally published 12/19/1988 at 01:00 AM EST

Chucklewood Park is the setting for this tape, which features a bear (Buttons), a fox (Rusty), a forest ranger, a Christmas train and enough swell animation to carry a kid through many a replay. The Santa on this tape is appropriately rotund and jolly, the sound track's lively and sweet, and a plot twist involving cute animals lost in a toy store is magical enough to calm the pre-Christmas frenzy of any child under 8. "We love it, Mom," is Kate's evaluation. (Best Film & Video, $14.99; 800-527-2189)
