Picks and Pans Review: Now Playing

>•HELLBOUND: HELLRAISERII Writer-director Clive Barker made something hypnotically repellent out of the 1987 original. This sequel, directed by Tony Randel, is merely repellent. But Doug Bradley's demon leader still has indisputable appeal for those who enjoy watching a man use his head as a pincushion. (R)

•THE BOOST Sure, James (Salvador) Woods and Sean (No Way Out) Young have talent. But in this antidrug tale, a sort of Days of Wine and Coke-Wrecked Noses, neither utters a line that sounds remotely believable. (R)

•WE THINK THE WORLD OF YOU Two fine British actors, Alan Bates and Gary Oldman, play lovers who fight over whether or not Bates should care for Old-man's dog while Oldman serves time for robbery. Nothing to wag a tail about. (PG)
