For thumb people this pseudo Twilight Zone series has become a cult offering. Although dropped by HBO, it has been picked up by the USA Network for 26 new half-hour episodes, all set in Paris or Toronto. The first three, debuting this month, look promising. First is "Dark Wishes," in which an attractive young nurse (Tammy Lauren) tries to poison the woman she cares for in order to capture the woman's wealthy, handsome husband. The most successful of this month's eerie offerings is "Shadow Puppets," airing July 8, in which a nefarious shrink is gruesomely done in by a female patient who gets a little too in touch with her feelings. Rugged Page Fletcher, as the hitchhiker, introduces each episode.
