NBC has cast Stephanie Beacham, the bombshell buxom Brit who made the fur fly as Sable on The Colbys and Dynasty, as a nun in this series. What's next? Joan Collins as Mother Teresa? Okay, on paper it sounds stupid. But casting Beacham as a nun overseeing kids in an orphanage turns out to be an inspired move. Beacham plays the title role as a brittle, haughty type—she's more like Don Rickles than Bishop Sheen. But we hope this sister becomes habit forming. This preview episode also contains the funniest line of all this season's sitcom pilots. We'd ruin it by telling the joke. But it has something to do with golf.
