This series is based on a good 1988 sci-fi movie no one saw, with James Caan and Mandy Patinkin as an odd-couple pair of L.A. cops, one human, one alien. At times poignant, at times humorous, this snappy adaptation stars handsome Gary Graham and handsome (but unrecognizable) Eric Pierpoint as the cop and the alien respectively. An idiot couldn't miss the not-so-subtle brotherhood messages. You could argue that the lecture doesn't need to be delivered in such a heavy-handed way, but, looking at the headlines these days, it's clear the subject is timely.
