Quinn, the raspy-voiced, handsome sidekick to Ken Ober on MTV's comical TV-trivia game show Remote Control (now also in syndication), has always been one of the best reasons to get cable TV. Now MTV gives him this deserved showcase. Along with director Ben Stiller (a featured player on Saturday Night Live and, incidentally, the son of Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara), Quinn impishly sends up an Irish wake, a Brooklyn rap song and a press conference featuring his ex-girlfriends, and he spoofs Do the Right Thing and Batman with a skit called Do the Robin Thing. Best of all is a recurring gag: Quinn and Stiller playing, respectively, a struggling actor and his smarmy agent. Their take on showbiz shamelessness is hysterical.
