As a pinch reviewer these past nine weeks, I saw some wonderful shows. This week was no exception. Or am I suffering from couch potato fatigue? Anyway, to borrow a phrase from Saturday Night Live's Dennis Miller, I am outta here. Next week, David Hiltbrand, long a contributor of record and book reviews to PEOPLE'S Picks and Pans section, becomes our new television critic. I hereby bequeath to him the office VCR, the columnist-in-residence's grade book and the honorary zapper.
