Occult specialists battle the immortal powers of darkness, which, in this two-hour premiere of a weekly series, are held in carved Druid boxes that look like teak Kleenex dispensers. The show doesn't seem related to the classic 1982 horror movie about a spooked suburban house, but it's cheesy, lurid fun anyway. Helen Shaver gets dragged across the floor by the umbilical cord still connected to her just-delivered demon baby. Whoa, Satan!
