On Oct. 2, actress Debbie Reynolds, 65, announced a deal with real estate developer David Siegel, 62, to bail out her bankrupt Las Vegas hotel and casino with an infusion of $18.65 million. If the U.S. Bankruptcy Court approves the agreement, Siegel will renovate the 200-room hotel and will build a 1,000-room time-share hotel on an adjoining lot.

Blues Traveler bassist Bob Sheehan, 29, was arrested on Sept. 29 at Winnipeg International Airport after cocaine was found in his possession. After posting a $5,000 bond, Sheehan was released in time to open for the Rolling Stones at Winnipeg Stadium. He is due back in court on Oct. 22 for a preliminary hearing.

Swedish actor Jarl Kulle, 70, who starred in Ingmar Bergman's films Fanny and Alexander (1982), Waiting Women (1952) and Smiles of a Summer Night (1955), died of bone cancer on Oct. 3 at his home near Stockholm....

Screenwriter Dorothy Kingsley, 87, who wrote scripts for more than 25 movies including Bathing Beauty (1944), Kiss Me Kate (1953) and the original version of Angels in the Outfield (1951), died of a heart ailment on Sept. 26 in Monterey, Calif....

Johnny Vander Meer, 82, the only pitcher in major league baseball history to throw two consecutive no-hit games, died of an abdominal aneurysm on Oct. 6 in Tampa. Vander Meer accomplished his feat in 1938, with the Cincinnati Reds.

Seeking unspecified damages, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, 34, and his wife, actress Pamela Lee, 30, filed suit on Sept. 23 in Los Angeles against Milton Ingley, 51. The Lees claim that Ingley is selling a sexually explicit video of them on the Internet that he obtained from a safe stolen from their Malibu house.

Talk show host Leeza Gibbons, 40, and her husband, actor Stephen Meadows, 46, welcomed an 8-lb. 9-oz. boy, Nathan Daniel, on Oct. 3 in L.A. The couple have a son, Troy, 5, and Gibbons has a daughter, Lexi, 8, from an earlier marriage....
