Actress Audra Lindley, 79, known for her role as the sexually frustrated landlady on Three's Company from 1977 to 1979 and on the sitcom's spinoff The Ropers from 1979 to 1980, died of complications from leukemia on Oct. 16 in Los Angeles. Lindley continued to work until last month, playing Cybill Shepherd's mother on the CBS series Cybill....

Roberto Goizueta, 65, who began working for Coca-Cola in 1954 as a chemical engineer in Havana and rose through the company's ranks to serve as its chairman and chief executive for the last 16 years, died of complications related to lung cancer on Oct. 18 in Atlanta. During Goizueta's tenure, Coke's stock value increased 3,500 percent from $4 billion to $150 billion.

Laugh-In's Arte Johnson, 63, was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and is now undergoing chemotherapy. "It was caught in time," said his manager, "and he is going to make it."

On Oct. 6, a jury in L.A. found in favor of James Woods, 50, in a suit brought by former boxer Steve Pope, 52, who claimed that he had been kicked and injured by Woods while working with the actor as an extra on the 1993 cable series Fallen Angels. Woods had rejected the advice of his lawyers to settle the case out of court....

An L.A. judge revoked probation for Robert Downey Jr., 32, on Oct. 17 upon hearing evidence that the actor had violated a court order by using drugs and alcohol last month. Downey was sentenced to three years' probation last year after police stopped him for speeding and found cocaine, heroin and a pistol in his car. Downey, who just finished filming U.S. Marshals, the sequel to The Fugitive, now faces jail time or a stint at a live-in drug treatment center....

Singer Bob Seger, 52, was fined $500 and ordered not to drive in Ontario for one year after he pleaded guilty to a charge of refusing to give police a breath sample when he drove his BMW off a highway near Lake Superior in June. A more serious charge of driving while impaired was dismissed.

Actress Holly Robinson Peete (Hangin' with Mr. Cooper), 33, and her husband, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Rodney Peete, 31, welcomed twins, a 6-lb. 1-oz. boy, Rodney Jackson, and a 4-lb. 13-oz. girl, Ryan Elizabeth, on Oct. 19 in L.A....

Actress Angela Bassett, 39, wed actor Courtney B. Vance, 37, on Oct. 12 in L.A. It is the first marriage for both.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow, 34, and her husband, advertising executive Michel Stern, 39, are expecting their first child in late spring. Kudrow's pregnancy will be worked into a storyline for her character, the clueless Phoebe.
