All consenting adults—even Presidents and interns—should have a constitutional zone of sexual privacy beyond the purview of government snoops. It's high time Congress extends "don't ask, don't tell" to heterosexuals in public service.

In hindsight, I guess the family values campaign wasn't so corny after all.
C. DEMARCO, Morris Plains, N.J.
To be blunt, I don't care who the President is screwing. Everyone knows politicians are a horny lot. And here's a question: When is Monica posing for Playboy? She better hurry up, because her 15 minutes are ticking.

If President Clinton can do what he is allegedly doing and still do what he is doing, then we ought to let him keep doing it.
GEORGE LATOUR, Baton Rouge
Other than Hillary, why are all the women who have allegedly had sexual interaction with Bill Clinton being portrayed as emotionally repressed or otherwise unbalanced, while you depict Clinton as a harmless, blameless flirt? Flirt, my derriere. How about sexual addict and abuser of power?
HELEN T. HOPPESS, Houston
Hillary Clinton has dealt with the consequences of her husband's alleged affairs for more than 20 years. She has consistently made excuses for him, denied his behavior and looked the other way. She is a textbook example of an enabling spouse. Some example she's setting for the young women of America.
KAREN SONDROL, Muscatine, Iowa
I don't understand how Gennifer Flowers can say she was vindicated. Unconfirmed reports that President Clinton admitted to an affair with her only make her look like a slut for having a 12-year affair with a married man.
PAT HANSEN, San Diego
Add this to President Clinton's problems: Why does the Pentagon pay Linda Tripp $88,000 as an assistant? Maybe it's the same department that buys those $10,000 hammers!
GREG ZILBERFARB, Washington
It's a shame this country has turned into a Jerry Springer show.
JESSICA SARUBBI, Cliffside Park, N.J.
It's important to let people know about multiple chemical sensitivity so they can avoid situations that might make them as sick as Cindy Duehring. My wife and daughters have sensitivities to petrochemical products, fragrances, pesticides, paints and cleaning products. By avoiding contact with them as much as possible they have been able to live relatively normal lives.
RAE STEPHENSON, Bothell, Wash.
Working in the pest control industry, I handle insecticides in their concentrated forms and have had these chemicals on my hands, splashed in my face, even in my mouth! It is impossible for me to believe that one bug bomb, containing a fraction of a percent of the chemicals I handle daily, caused this woman to have seizures at the sound of her own voice. Get real!
CORY HALDEMAN, McHenry, Ill.
Before we start popping champagne corks celebrating having a child out of wedlock, let's examine the lives of these children. Most live in poverty, many are at risk of being abused by their mothers' lovers or boyfriends. Many spend from 4 to 8 hours a day in daycare centers or with babysitters. Even after 30 years of the counterculture and feminism, one thing is sure—the two-parent family is still the best thing for a child. Dan Quayle is the least of their problems.
SANDRA FROST, New York City
Shame on Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and the PGA. If they are so concerned about the advantage riding in a cart will give Casey Martin, then why don't they all ride in a cart? Better yet, why don't they realize that it is they who have the advantage—two good legs!
ANGELA JAQUJETTE, San Rafael, Calif.
Why all the sniping at Cher after Sonny Bono's death? She didn't cast herself as widow, the media did. Despite Bono's career in politics, Sonny and Cher were pop icons, forever bonded in the American psyche. How is it different from all those images of Desi Arnaz alongside Lucille Ball, though each had moved on to new partners? Mary Bono understood the legacy of Sonny and Cher, came to grips with it and was, in the end, classy enough to let fans see Cher say goodbye. Yes, Sonny and Cher dragged around lots of baggage and weren't always mature about it, but that doesn't mean Cher's grief wasn't genuine.
