Night Caps
Cap sleeves have long had a romantic hold over Hollywood: Picture Cinderella, Snow White and, recently, Kate Winslet's Rose in Titanic. Now that fairy-tale look is in offscreen as stars including Sandra Bullock (4), Ally McBeal's Calista Flockhart (6) and LeAnn Rimes (5) swap their spaghetti straps for tiny sleeves. "They're made for storybook evenings," says stylist Karin Labby, who dressed Julianne Moore in the dainty look for the Golden Globes. Adds Sabrina, the Teenage Witch's Melissa Joan Hart: "I like them because they cover you, but they're not restricting." Some, though, might prefer bolder shoulders. Lost in Space's Heather Graham (2), captivating in Armani at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, calls the sleeves "sometimes too cutesy." But at least the style is forgiving. Says Halston designer Randolph Duke: "You don't have to be a supermodel."
