Picks and Pans Review: Linda Mccartney on Tour

McCartney died last April, and her absence is felt in this, her third vegetarian cookbook. Despite gorgeous color photography (not by McCartney) and intriguing (if imperfect) recipes from around the world, the book seems written by her editors. "My son James created this energizing salad on a surfing holiday" is about as personal as it gets. Some words from Sir Paul would have helped, but alas, he's not at the table either.
