CNN talk show host Larry King, 66, and his sixth wife, Shawn, 40, welcomed second son Cannon Edward (7 lbs. 2 oz.) on May 22 in L.A. Big brother Chance is almost 15 months old.

In London on May 28, Scotland Yard charged a 40-year-old unemployed man with the April 1999 murder of Jill Dando, 37, a popular BBC newscaster and TV show host. Barry Michael George lived only 800 yards away from Dando's West London home.

Behind Bars
An L.A. judge sentenced former Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee, 37, to five days in the clink on May 26 for drinking. The judge had ordered Lee to stay away from drugs and booze as part of his probation for a 1998 felony spousal-abuse conviction for kicking his then-wife Pamela Anderson Lee, 32. He served four months for that crime.

Deaths
Hockey high scorer Maurice Richard, 78, who went by the nickname the Rocket and was arguably his game's greatest player, died on May 27 in Montreal. He had been suffering from stomach cancer and Parkinson's disease.

Suing

A former employee of James Brown, 67, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit for at least $2 million against the Godfather of Soul on May 19 in L.A. Lisa Agbalaya, 34, says the singer fired her for rejecting his advances. His lawyer says it's a case of a disgruntled former jobholder....

In a lawsuit filed on May 19 in Los Angeles, comic Milton Berle, 91, is seeking more than $30 million from NBC for losing or giving away more than 120 episodes of his various 1940s and '50s TV shows.

Rep. Floyd Spence (R-S.C.), 72, left a Baltimore hospital on May 30 after a successful kidney transplant. His son David, 46, donated one of his kidneys for the operation.

Recuperating
Actress Fay Wray, 92, King Kong's leading lady in the 1933 movie classic, reportedly broke her hip in New York City and underwent surgery on May 22 to have it repaired.

Law and Order
On May 24 in Maryland, the state's chief prosecutor, Stephen F. Montanarelli, dropped criminal charges against Linda Tripp, 50, for wiretapping conversations with Monica Lewinsky that led to President Clinton's impeachment. Montanarelli said he was thwarted by a judge's order last month to suppress evidence given by Lewinsky. Tripp could have been sentenced to a 10-year prison term and a $10,000 fine.

Expecting
The Drew Carey Show's Christa Miller, 36, and her husband, Bill Lawrence, 31, a co-creator and former executive producer of ABC's Spin City, are. expecting their first child this month.
