How does Hollywood's garden grow? This summer its perkiest posies are blossoming atop the pedicured toes of stars like Charlize Theron, Melissa Joan Hart and LeAnn Rimes, making flower-bedecked shoes the pick of the season. "Flowers at your feet are fabulous," says L.A. stylist Vivian Turner, who has outfitted Julia Roberts and Gloria Estefan, "They're feminine and sexy. A celebration of womanhood." Indeed, the fertile trend "makes your feet look so beautiful," says Party of Five's Jennifer Aspen. "You feel like a princess."
Adorning pumps or sandals, flats or platforms, plastic and fabric floral appliqués are naturally "special," says L.A. stylist Ricci DeMartino. "It's the evolution of making what we wear fun and whimsical." Without sacrificing versatility. The flowers can go "from a picnic to a black-tie function," Turner says.
As long as your tootsies are up to the task. "If you have beautiful feet and want to draw attention to them," she says, "go for it."

Exuding glamor in her third trimester proved no mission impossible for M:I-2's Thandie Newton, who wore a crushed-silk chiffon Donna Karan dress to the film's London premiere. Karan says she was thrilled to see her frock on "such a seductively beautiful woman."
The Emmys may still be two months away, but the mad rush for gowns has already begun. Look for Will & Grace's Debra Messing to slink down the red carpet in a custom-made frock by Bradley Bayou. "Debra loves to take risks," says the designer, who plans to cut a knee-length dress especially for her from some vintage 1960s brocade. "So it will be sexy, but not revealing—because I am so over that. You know, we only need so many Jennifer Lopezes in this world."...
Tennis queen Serena Williams's work wardrobe seems to be doing some serious overtime. The racket-wielding fashion maven was spotted at a British nightclub wearing a black-and-red tennis miniskirt. Don't expect to see her tennis socks out on the town anytime soon, though: According to one source, Williams trashes every pair she wears, running through at least one pair a day during tournaments....
Guess what's next for The Green Mile's Oscar-nominated Michael Clarke Duncan: a starring role in the pages of the Rochester Big & Tall Clothing mail-order catalog, coming out in September. The stylish 6'5" 315-pounder has been a fan since this year's Golden Globes, when he couldn't find an Armani suit that would fit and Big & Tall dressed him in a size-56 black wool Versace suit instead. The company has helped him out on several other occasions since, so joining Family Feud-star Louie Anderson (who graces the catalog cover) in modeling fall fashions is just Duncan's way of saying thanks....
She's just adopted a baby, but actress Sharon Stone recently found plenty of time to pore over BCBG's autumn "look book." She placed an order for 15 outfits, including a $450 porcelain silk-chiffon halter dress and a $560 camel wool coat with gold tinsel detailing. Head designer Max Azria reportedly loves seeing Stone in his clothes so much that he has her orders hand-delivered to her San Francisco home.

For celebs who want to look put together—literally—there's a folksy new trend to try: patchwork prints. "Patchwork fits in with the whole hippie-bohemian look people like now," says L.A. designer Monah Li, whose boutique specializes in the pattern. "It has a handmade feel to it." It's also "light and airy," says ex-Bay-watch babe Gena Lee Nolin, who looked hip in Versace squares at a Baywatch reunion party this summer. Indeed, notes Li, "mixing materials makes even the most body-conscious of dresses innocent and carefree." But still stunning, as Heather Graham discovered when she wore a patchwork Badgley Mischka slip dress recently. Says designer Mark Badgley: "She was intrigued, she tried it on—she looked gorgeous."
"It was so bright and colorful, very flattering," actress Mimi Rogers says of the tropical Versace ensemble she wore last month to a charity dinner. And appealing to all ages: Billy Joel's 14-year-old daughter Alexa Ray donned the same togs weeks earlier at a concert. Not that Rogers, 45, worries about such things. "I don't think in depth about fashion," she says. "If it looks good and feels good, I wear it."
