"She's into fashion and political journalism," Courtney Love tells PEOPLE. "She reads Noam Chomsky books and the New York Times cover to cover and the New Yorker – she's a brainiac!"
When the 15-year-old isn't reading up on politics and current affairs, Love's only child with the late Kurt Cobain is focusing on her career. "[Being an] intern at Rolling Stone is du jour, " her mom revealed at the Givenchy fashion show in Paris on Wednesday. "It was Marc Jacobs, but it changes every three months."
Love is busy finishing her album, but she is also looking to buy a house in London, a second home for the Los Angeles-based pair. "My daughter is coming over kicking and screaming. She just started high school, she's getting quite popular and she doesn't want to leave. I'm ruining her life," says Love, 43, with a look of faux despair.
So will the teen adapt to London life? "I don't think she's ever met any other rock star's kids and there's some really square ones in London, so I'm happy about that," says Love, who has juggled both dramatic weight loss and resuscitated music career in 2007 . "She knows a lot of agents' kids, movie stars' kids, a lot of producers' children but controversial rock stars' kids – none!"
And although Love hasn't inked a deal yet, she has somewhere quintessentially English in mind. "I looked at somebody's house, I think it's small but I want Francis to see it. It's very Winnie The Pooh."
