FEAR OF SUCCESS Caleb (Universal) Despite a title that would imply otherwise, this one-name singer-songwriter seems nothing but confident on this sometimes sexy ("Blue"), sometimes sinister ("Sally Doesn't Call Me Anymore") but always fearless debut.

DICK'S PICKS: VOLUME TWENTY Grateful Dead (Grateful Dead) Five years after Deadhead Jerry Garcia's death, the band keeps on truckin', at least on disc. Two concerts from 1976 find Garcia at his plaintive best and the band at full, trippy tilt.
