Musician Phil Collins, 50, and his wife, former public relations exec Orianne, 29, welcomed a son, Nicholas Grev Austin, on April 21 in Geneva. Collins has three children from two previous marriages.
Director, producer and writer Jack Haley Jr., 67, former husband of singer Liza Minnelli, died on April 21 in Santa Monica of respiratory failure. He was the son of actor Jack Haley, the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, and directed the smash 1974 film That's Entertainment!....
On April 16 in Greenville, Ohio, Glen Moyer, 105, a retired schoolteacher who was listed with his brother in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's oldest living twins, died of undisclosed causes. His brother Dale lives in Alvordton, Ohio.
On April 18 a 75-year-old woman ran a stop sign in L.A. and slammed into a BMW driven by Friends star Matthew Perry, 31. Neither was injured.

NYPD Blue alum Andrea Thompson, 41, will join CNN's Headline News in Atlanta as an anchor in June. Thompson has been a local TV reporter in Albuquerque since last May.

On April 24 soap star Michael Nader, 56, who portrayed Count Dimitri Marick for 10 years on All My Children, agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor drug possession charge in New York City. Nader, who was arrested Feb. 24 for allegedly selling a $20 bag of cocaine to an undercover cop, will receive three years' probation....
Robert Tulloch, 17, was indicted April 19 on two counts of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Dartmouth College professors Half Zantop, 62, and his wife, Susanne, 55. Another teen suspect, James Parker, 16, is awaiting indictment.
Cmdr. Scott Waddle, 41, skipper of the nuclear submarine that sank a Japanese fishing boat in February, was formally reprimanded in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on April 23 and agreed to retire from the Navy....
The parents of Eric Harris, 18, and Dylan Klebold, 17, the teens who went on a shooting spree at Columbine High School in 1999, and the two men who helped supply a gun, Mark Manes and Philip Duran, both 24, have agreed to pay $2.54 million to most of the families of the 36 dead or wounded....
Paula Johnson, 33, whose daughter was switched at birth in 1995, reached a $2.3 million settlement on April 19 with the state of Virginia for herself and the child she is raising, Callie Conley, 5. The other child involved, Rebecca Grace Chittum, 5, received a similar settlement in 1999.
A jury in Golden, Colo., found therapist Connell Watkins, 54, and her assistant Julie Ponder, 40, guilty of reckless child abuse on April 20 in the "rebirthing" death of Candace Newmaker, 10, in April 2000 in Evergreen, Colo. (People, April 23, 2001). The two face up to 48 years in prison when sentenced June 18.
