The last thing you need to worry about on a movie set is food: It's available around the clock. Apparently nobody told recent design school grad Colleen Haskell before she began filming The Animal, the new comedy with Rob Schneider. Last October the Survivor cutie showed up for the first day of shooting in L.A. with her own lunch—a turkey sandwich and granola bar. But after her ordeal taping Survivor, where some contestants ate rats and bugs, who can blame her for wanting to be prepared?
While shooting the sci-fi comedy Evolution with Julianne Moore, due June 8, David Duchovny filled some of the down time by tormenting their 24-year-old costar Seann William Scott. Duchovny's favorite prank: The former X-man would sneak into Scott's trailer and put food into the pockets of his street clothes. A few morsels sat in one jacket for a week before Scott discovered them while on a date. He reached for his wallet and came out with nothing but gunk.
If you're one of the 30 million people who watched the Friends season finale on May 17, you may have noticed a nod to Jennifer Aniston's heritage. When Aniston and Lisa Kudrow hunted down a Greek Orthodox priest to fill in for the missing officiant (Matt LeBlanc) at Courteney Cox Arquette's wedding to Matthew Perry, the name Anastissakis—Aniston's family name—appeared on a marriage-reception sign.
Former Married...with Children's star David Faustino showed Tony Danza who's the boss at the Rock & Soul to Erase MS concert and fund-raiser May 18. During the event's live auction, Faustino and Danza got into a bidding war over an eight-week-old chocolate Lab that Faustino finally took home—for $10,000. "This is probably the most expensive dog in history," says an ecstatic Faustino of new pup Sophie. "But to me, she's priceless."
We hear that Pearl Harbor star Kate Beckinsale wasn't too good about following orders aboard the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier during the film's press junket in Hawaii. The English beauty lit up in the ship's restricted non-smoking areas, ignoring instructions not to, until she was duly reprimanded. She did, however, endear herself to her castmates, including Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett and James King, presenting them with custom-made jewelry inspired by dog tags.
