Irish actor Colin Farrell (American Outlaws), 25, married British actress Amelia Warner (Quills), 19, on July 17 in Tahiti. It is the first marriage for both.
Former Mob boss John Gotti, 59, who suffers from throat cancer, was hospitalized Aug. 9 in Springfield, Mo., after his condition worsened. He remained in intensive care at press time.
Actress Tisha Campbell-Martin, 32, of ABC's My Wife and Kids, and her husband, actor Duane Martin, 36, had their first child, a boy named Xen, on Aug. 8 in L.A....
Oak Ridge Boy William Lee Golden, 62, and his wife, Brenda, 37, a former publicist, welcomed their first baby, William Solomon, on Aug. 10 in Nashville. Golden has three sons from a previous marriage.
An L.A. County coroner said on Aug. 13 that bodybuilder and actor Matthew Michael Ansara, 35, the son of I Dream of Jeannie actress Barbara Eden, died of a heroin overdose. Ansara was found dead in his pickup truck at a gas station in June.
R&B singer Bobby Brown, 34, the husband of Whitney Houston, was rushed to a Morristown, N.J., hospital on Aug. 8 after he was overcome by heat and exhaustion. Brown was treated and released.
In other Whitney Houston-related news, the singer's brother Michael Houston, 40, a music writer, was arrested in Fort Lee, N.J., Aug. 8 and charged with criminal possession of cocaine and marijuana and with being under the influence of a controlled substance....
On Aug. 7 in Hermosa Beach, Calif., Roger Clinton, 45, half brother of former President Bill Clinton, was ordered to pay $1,350 in fines after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor nonalcohol-related reckless-driving charge. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped charges of drunken driving and disturbing the peace that could have led to nine months in jail. Clinton, who was arrested Feb. 17, was also placed on two years' probation....
Former Allman Brothers Band lead guitarist and songwriter Dickey Betts, 57, was charged with domestic battery Aug. 11 in Osprey, Fla. Betts, who was released from jail on $2,000 bail, is accused of hitting his wife, Donna, 46, in the face while she was driving.
Cheri Townsend, 43, filed for divorce from actor-director Robert Townsend (MTV's Hip Hopera: Carmen), 44, on Aug. 7 in L.A. after nearly 11 years of marriage. They have three children.
Harmonica player Larry Adler, 87, who worked with George Gershwin, died of pneumonia on Aug. 7 in London....
Earl Anthony, 63, the Professional Bowlers Association's six-time national champion, was found dead Aug. 14 at a friend's home near Milwaukee. According to the friend, Anthony may have had a heart attack.
Andrea Pia Yates, 37, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity on Aug. 8 in Houston to the June 20 drowning deaths of her five children (PEOPLE, July 9,2001). Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for Yates, who faces three counts of capital murder.
