Thumb and thumber: Appearing on Germany's hit game show Wetten, dass..? (translation: Wanna bet?), Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks made like Ebert & Roeper as the Catch Me If You Can costars lost a wager involving the show's contestants.

Bind date: "Kate and I have similar senses of humor, and that's a biggie," says Matthew McConaughey, who shared a laugh with his huggable costar Kate Hudson at the L.A. premiere of their romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, due Feb. 7.

Instant karma: At the L.A. premiere of her movie The Guru, a spirited Heather Graham heeded a call to arms and joined 24 dancers in an homage to India's lavish Bollywood musicals. In the comedy the actress costars as the mentor of an Indian sex advisor played by Jimi Mistry.

SUPER BOWL SCENE

Revving up in San Diego, Joe Millionaire's Evan Marriott put the go-kart before the course, finishing eighth in the Cadillac Super Bowl Grand Prix, a celebrity charity race, where Brittany Murphy (right) scored points as the official flag girl.

Girls who make passes: Shania Twain struck a pose at a warm-up event three days before kicking off the big game's half-time show.

Carlos Santana and Celine Dion gave each other pointers before the pre-show. The rocker, a lifelong Raiders fan, played "Oye Como Va"; the Canadian diva sang "God Bless America."

SUNDANCE 2003

Rocky Mountain roundup: This year's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, had that neighborhoodie feel for Owning Mahowny costars Minnie Driver and Philip Seymour Hoffman (above left), while Christian Slater became fest friends with Val Kilmer (top right). Both appear in Masked and Anonymous, a drama that also costars Bob Dylan and Penélope Cruz (right). Meanwhile at the Monkey Bar first-time director Salma Hayek thanked the cast and crew of her drama The Maldonado Miracle.

Laila, a furry Coton de Tulear, scampered after an unidentified flying object thrown by her fetching mistress Debra Messing in an L.A. dog park. The Will & Grace star is currently filming an as-yet-untitled comedy with Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston.

A steedfast Tommy Lee Jones saddled up with the San Saba polo team in Wellington, Fla. The actor, who is growing a moustache for an upcoming movie role, owns 45 polo ponies, but his team was beaten by a whisker, 12-11.

That's what Friends are for: Lisa Kudrow (left) and Courteney Cox Arquette extended hand-holding privileges to their pal David Schwimmer when they attended the L.A. premiere of his new play Turnaround. Schwimmer portrays a very un-Friend-ly, coke-snorting Hollywood producer.
