Manager-stylist Tina Knowles "likes to show off my best assets," says KELLY ROWLAND (in Cavalli).

"I didn't expect this," says NORAH JONES, who collected five Grammys, including Album and Record of the Year. "Just meeting Aretha Franklin and Bonnie Raitt and Cyndi Lauper tonight, that was amazing."

On the red carpet, glamor gal KYLIE MINOGUE (in Givenchy) popped up with skater girl AVRIL LAVIGNE.

Smooch on the Loose

Listening to Camp Freddy, Strokes drummer FABRIZIO MORETTI and DREW BARRYMORE managed to kiss and dance standing on a chair.

This year's Best Male R&B Performance for "U Don't Have to Call" makes two in a row for USHER (with girlfriend CHILLI).

P. DIDDY took son Justin to a postparty but later hung with grownups like NAOMI CAMPBELL.

U2 fan DR. RUTH WESTHEIMER lauded BONO'S political activism.

B.B. KING (with singer SHIRLEY MANSON) says that after a lifetime of award shows, "I still get nervous."

Life's a Cabaret
Pink throws a red-hot party

"I chose the entertainment"—trapeze artists, pole dancers and tarot-card readers—says Pink of her bash at Show. The guests? "Whoever I thought would be fun."

BACKSTREET BOY KEVIN RICHARDSON

PINK (with DEBORAH HARRY) accessorized her Versace mini with a Mohawk and lace-wrapped nails.

Splitting Hairs

INDIA ARIE "I'm not cold, "she says of her bald move. I feel so light." Learn anything? "I didn't know I had a little apple head."

ERYKAH BADU "I used to wear turbans," she says. Then came a bare head, then an Afro wig. A rep calls her "ever evolving."

Punk VS. Funk

FOXY BROWN
A skimpy dress, a Dior belt and jewels by Fred Leighton add up to a "smoking, cocktail-loungey look," says June Ambrose, a top stylist to the hip-hop set. "It's glamorous but keeps her edge."

AVRIL LAVIGNE
A jacket by L.A. costumers Mutoa-Little topped a boys' shirt. "She wanted to keep it low-drama," says her stylist Stephanie Wolf.

No, You the Man...
A show of hands: What it means

The Power Point: BILL CLINTON greeted (from left) HELENA CHRISTENSEN, GINA GERSHON and MORLEIGH STEINBERG. "He must be pretty hip," says etiquette maven Peggy Post.

The Double Digits: Who needs fans to point and stare? Not MARY J. BLIGE and crimson-taloned GWEN STEFANI.

The Tough Guy: EMINEM (with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN) strove to preserve his street cred.

The "I'm with Stupid"?: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE saluted JIMMY FALLON.

Yo, SHERYL CROW: The trendy way to say "Hi."

SUPREME MOM
Diana Ross was happy to watch the Grammys on TV at home in Connecticut before heading to Manhattan to party. "I spent the day with my five children," she said at the EMI afterparty. "I'm their chauffeur. I also have to clear the snow away; I sprinkle a little salt and we clear it ourselves."

GIRL TALK
Melissa Etheridge and actress girlfriend Tammy Lynn Michaels spent early Saturday evening drinking lattes in their hotel room and getting ready for music producer Clive Davis's bash at the Regent Wall Street Hotel. Says Michaels: "It's great, because I can say, 'Honey, that outfit makes your butt look weird.' "

QUICK FIX
Rapper Faith Evans hit the streets of Manhattan at 9 a.m. on Sunday for some shopping—only to realize stores don't open until noon. "So I took my husband to breakfast at some little coffee shop," she says, "then we went to Bergdorf Goodman's and stood in front until they opened."

ZZZZ
Singer Angie Stone headed for 11 a.m. church services on Grammy morning. Pink started the day with "a cigarette and a glass of wine," she says. Alicia Keys slipped into a bubble bath at home in Manhattan. But what soothed many was a nap; power snoozers included Gwen Stefani, who slept while her hair was being styled, and New Yorker John Mayer, who says, "I get sleepy when I'm nervous."

THE NANNY DIARIES
Their makeup artist screamed so loud backstage when the Dixie Chicks won their first award that Emily Robison's 3-month-old son Charles "woke up and started crying hysterically," says Natalie Maines. Her own son, Jackson, 2, was happy to stay home and "push the nanny around on a chair."

DADDY DUTY
After a weekend of partying, Kid Rock left fellow revelers at the Warner Music Group afterparty at the Hudson Hotel after 1 a.m. and headed home to Detroit. "I've got Bob Seger's plane," he says. "I've got to get the kids to school in the morning."

LONELY AT THE TOP
Shortly after arriving at the packed EMI soiree at the W Hotel, big winner Norah Jones, a shy 23-year-old, headed for the exit. But by 2 a.m. she came back and huddled with band member Jesse Harris, who wrote her Song of the Year, "Come Away with Me." "It's okay, I'm having fun now because all my friends are here," she says. "My mom, too."
