The hot rumor making the rounds last week was that veteran Hollywood couple John Tesh and Connie Sellecca had broken up. Absolutely not true, says Sellecca, who called to express shock and anger at the baseless gossip. "We're very much married," she says. "We're very happy together." The couple don't know how the misinformation started, but the actress has a theory: "My son [Gilbert] is a young, handsome man, and he's John's size, so he thought it might have started because I was seen with him. That's pretty funny." Tesh and Sellecca will celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary on April 4.
It didn't take Kelly Osbourne long to find a new guy. Although it's only been a month since Ozzy's little girl split with singer Bert McCracken of the Used, I hear that she's already taken up with Chad Gilbert, a 22-year-old guitarist (surprise!) with the pop-punk band New Found Glory. The two had been friends for several months but grew closer after Osbourne and McCracken broke up. Reps for both had no comment.
Render unto Caesar...some free weights and something to work the abs. Gladiator star Joaquin Phoenix, who's on location in Baltimore shooting the firefighter drama Ladder 49, has adopted a rigorous workout regimen to prepare for his role. But he was uncomfortable using his hotel's gym, so the film's production company bought him thousands of dollars worth of exercise equipment and had it shipped to his suite. Among the pieces cluttering up his room are a leg machine, a curl machine, an incline bench, a full set of weights and dumbbells, a medicine ball and a Reebok Core Board (an exercise platform).
In Agent Cody Banks, Frankie Muniz does a lot of fast driving as a juvenile CIA agent with James Bond-like skills behind the wheel. Apparently the 17-year-old actor enjoyed the fast times. Muniz, a car buff, just bought himself a Maserati coupé worth about $100,000. The exotic vehicle joins three other cars in his stable. "I just had to have one," says Muniz. Fortunately for the teen, a higher power signed off on the purchase. Says the actor: "My mom was cool with it."
