In sickness and in health: A splint-wearing Halle Berry let her hubby, R&B singer Eric Benét, handle the haul after a shopping trip to Maxfield's. The actress, who broke her right arm two weeks ago while filming an action sequence in the thriller Gothika, is taking a monthlong hiatus to heal.

Affleck stars as a computer engineer trying to elude his would-be killers with the help of his ex-girlfriend, played by Thurman.

Diane Lane (far left) got support from her steady, actor Josh Brolin, after being honored at the Crystal and Lucy Awards, which celebrate women in film and TV. Jodie Foster (left) also made an appearance as a presenter. Lane will star in the romantic comedy Under the Tuscan Sun, due in September.
