Gwyneth: Deep in Love
GWYNETH PALTROW's romance with Coldplay's CHRIS MARTIN may be as warm as ever, but despite the plain band she has been spotted wearing of late, her publicist denies rumors that the pair are engaged. A devoted fan, Paltrow attended Coldplay's June 13 concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden. "She is really, really in love with him," says Bai Ling, who costars with Paltrow in the upcoming World of Tomorrow. "When we were shooting he was there all the time. In between the takes they would be kissing and hugging. You can see the smile and the light in her." Would they make a good married couple? Says Ling: "I think so. They both are very smart."

Some things are just too perfect, like the June 14 wedding of Miss America and...Captain America? That's right, KATIE HARMAN, last year's pageant winner, married Capt. TIM EBNER, a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard, on June 14—that's Flag Day—in a ceremony featuring red bridesmaids' dresses, white flowers and a dress-blue uniform for the groom. "For a boy from a small town," wisecracked best man and brother Ben Ebner, "I thought maybe he stood a chance with the potato queen, but not Miss America." The couple met shortly after Harman, 22, got her crown in September 2001. Ebner, 30, was assigned to be her escort on her visit to the Air National Guard base in Portland, not far from her hometown of Gresham, Ore. "Finding my future husband," says Harman, "was not on my mind." Ebner was a little shy at first—"I wasn't going to impose on her," he says—until her mother, Darla, encouraged the pair to go out. "Miss America was wonderful," says Darla, "but this is the happiest I've ever seen her."

On the Rocks?
EDWARD NORTON and SALMA HAYEK are looking less close these days. The longtime pair have reportedly been on the outs of late. On June 14, Norton hit the town in L.A. with Woody Harrelson. An onlooker spotted them at Forty Deuce, a nightclub that features dancing beauties. Norton, says the source, was more interested in a petite blonde bar patron. "He asked her if she wanted to come to an afterparty with him and his friends. When she declined, he asked her for her phone number and she gave it to him. He programmed it into his cellphone." Reps for Hayek and Norton wouldn't comment, but the witness says, "He seemed pretty single."

A New Role
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star WILLIAM PETERSEN, 50, whose first marriage ended in divorce, married teacher GINA CIRONE, 31, his girlfriend of seven years, on June 14 in a 400-year-old church in Petrignano, Italy. "His wife is a wonderful person," says CSI's Robert David Hall. "She's gracious and quite beautiful."

Meg's Mystery Man
Maybe MEG RYAN should stop making romantic comedies and start starring in mysteries. Like this one: the 41-year-old star of the upcoming boxing flick On the Ropes was recently spotted strolling around Los Angeles with this fella. Her reps won't confirm his identity, but he looks a lot like actor William Keane, formerly of Chicago Hope. Ryan and Keane have been linked in the past.

Just Looking
Playing a dork in the American Pie films—the third one, American Wedding, is due Aug. 1—hasn't hurt JASON BIGGS's love life: He's hanging with model-actress NIKKI ZIERING, who appears in Wedding and—au naturel—in the July Playboy. Although the two kissed and cuddled for onlookers at a party the magazine threw for her on June 12, Biggs's spokesman says the pair were just hamming it up for the cameras, and reps for both claim they're "just friends."

2 Happy 2gether
Who was that young lady spotted on the arm of 2 Fast 2 Furious star PAUL WALKER during a jaunt to promote the film in Paris? Meet BLISS ELLIS, 25, who has been dating Walker, 29, on and off for four years. The pair met on the set of Walker's 1999 film Varsity Blues, in which Ellis, a Texas native, was an extra. Walker (who has a daughter, Meadow, 4, from a previous relationship) was so eager to see Ellis in Paris on June 12 that he cut short an interview about the film, then squired her around the Louvre for three hours the next day. Sadly, when the pair tried to buy a souvenir Eiffel Tower outside, they were told U.S. dollars weren't acceptable.

Kate Will Set a Date
Who says people who become acquainted at work shouldn't have love affairs? Pearl Harbor's KATE BECKINSALE's next movie earned her a fiancé, LEN WISEMAN. Wiseman, 30, directed Brit Beckinsale, 29, who plays a vampire warrior in the supernatural thriller Underworld, which is set to hit theaters in September. He popped the question at Santa Monica's Viceroy Hotel, where the two, who have been dating for months, were dining. "He had specific requests that he wanted a cabana by the pool and a presidential suite, and it had to have white lilies. He had some sort of special merlot he wanted for her," says a source. In January Beckinsale split with her longtime mate, actor Michael Sheen. The pair never married, but they have a 4-year-old daughter, Lily.

Calling in the Law
The domestic troubles of actors JUDE LAW and SADIE FROST, who married in 1997 and had three children together, took a nasty turn on June 5, when police were called to Frost's London home. "They did have an argument," acknowledges Law's rep Simon Halls, who says a new nanny called the authorities after hearing the couple exchange heated words. "Sadie was a little horrified the police were called. There was nothing more than a yelling match," he says. "These are very, very trying times for both of them." By the time cops arrived, Halls says, Law had already departed. "I can't justify [the argument], but that is what couples go through when they are going through tough times. There were no children around at the time." Frost, who told Britain's Red magazine that she has been under a lot of stress, then took the children to Cyprus for a vacation.

Meet Me at the Hilton
So maybe PARIS HILTON should get a room? The model-actress-partygoer, 22, who recently broke up with model Jason Shaw, has been rebounding big time into the arms of Sum 41 singer DERYCK WHIBLEY, 23. Their PDAs have been spotted in several places. One source who has seen the two together around L.A. notes that they have been "going at it like there was no tomorrow," but Hilton's rep Brian Long says, "She's just having fun with him. She's not seriously dating anyone."
