•BIG BREAK: On a hot day in 1997 the 6'2" 185-lb. Warwell wore a tank top to his job as a data entry clerk at Saks Fifth Avenue. A manager said, "Wow! I didn't know you looked like that," and sent him to a modeling agency.
•LIFE ISN'T FAIR: "After a week going to the gym every other day, my body gets in perfect shape," says Warwell, who lifts weights, does 300 to 500 ab crunches and 20 minutes of cardio. Lately, too, he has cut back on his McDonald's runs. "I can't eat like I did in high school anymore," he says.
Owen McKibbin, 40

•WORKOUT SECRET: "The most taxing thing I do," says McKibbin: push-ups three times a week with son Blaze, 3, on his back.
•HOLD THE FRIES: The 6'2", 195-lb. McKibbin eats a high-protein diet and drinks three gallons of water a day. "If I don't fit into my clothes," he says, "that's money out of my pocket."

•TRAFFIC HAZARD: Concerned about possible accidents, London officials pulled a 60-ft.-high billboard of Fimmel wearing nothing but his Calvins from a city intersection.
•HOW HE DOES IT: The 6-ft., 180-lb. native of Australia keeps in shape by surfing, playing beach volleyball and practicing martial arts.
Gregg Avedon, 38
Weston, Fla.
•SEEN IN: Men's Health; an episode of Sex and the City (he played one of Samantha's many dates).
•THE LAST LAUGH: As a skinny ninth grader, "I quit the football team because I was getting beaten up so badly," Avedon says. "I got into gym training and in one year had built up so much size the guys who had been pushing me around didn't believe it."
•WHY EUROPE IS A DRAG: "It's not easy to get the food you need, the gyms you need," he says. So when he travels, the 6'1", 185-lb. Avedon packs baggies filled with protein shakes and bars; upon arrival, he stocks up on fruits and veggies.
•FORMER LIFE: Avedon, a married father of two, once competed on the pro bodybuilding circuit. "I was," he says, "the consummate poser."
Chad Nittler, 27
New York City
•SEEN IN: Ralph Lauren Polo underwear ads.
•AW, SHUCKS: Nittler grew up baling hay on a cattle ranch in Kansas. "I hope to have my own ranch someday," he says.
•THIS IS EXERCISE? "I'll do anything outdoors," he says, "including beer drinking and fishing."
