Bright red lips look "sexy and healthy and really brighten up the face," says New York City makeup artist Romy Soleimani. "Women should experiment to find their color." As a rule, says Soleimani, cherry reds work well with most complexions, but women with darker skin tones should avoid orange-reds, opting instead for deeper, bluer reds. Bright reds are best on fair-skinned women. Whatever a woman's age or personality, she adds, "there's a red that's right for everyone."
