Here's everything you ever wanted to know about mummies, narrated by Frank (Dracula) Langella, who sounds like he's speaking from beyond the grave. Lots of fascinating material about dehydrating agents, ancient brain-removal techniques, embalming tactics, pyramid design—very handy stuff for Brittany's next term paper. But because it relies heavily on spooky music, eerie visuals and dramatic reenactments to make a procession of Egyptologists seem less dull, this two-part documentary is long-winded and a bit lifeless.
