In Mad About You, this Ultimate Nice Girl manages to make even her husband's tattered old sweats look insouciantly sexy. Alas, the 33-year-old Hunt's offscreen brand of schleppy is not nearly as fetching. "She has great potential, but I think she needs to get a full-length mirror," says writer Ilene Beckerman of Hunt's ill-fitting jackets and awkward, overboard attempts at glamor. "Fashion police, handcuff this girl and take her away!" cries costumer Penny Rose. But Clueless designer Mona May is more sympathetic. "Helen," she figures, "is still hunting for a style."
