Guy Maeda and Robert Irving
No holiday music collection is complete without a novelty album in the tradition of the Singing Dogs' 1956 anthropomorphic chorale of "Jingle Bells" and the Jingle Cats' 1993 "Meowy Christmas." This year's model comes courtesy of Maeda and Irving, two L.A. producers who, by recording and then computerizing actual frog vocals, have created a chorus of amphibians croaking such classics as "O Come All Ye Froggies" and "Croak the Herald Froggies Sing." A portion of the profits from sales benefits various nonprofit nature-conservation groups. (Macola)
